Ministry Journy of Pastor Aster Nadeem

As written in Acts 18:26: Priscilla, along with her husband Aquila, "took Apollos aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately."

When we hear the word ministry, we often picture the pulpit, the congregation, and the Sunday service. But the true essence of ministry runs much deeper. Ministry is not just about leading worship or preaching a sermon, it’s about serving others with the heart of Christ.

Many people admire the fruit of a ministry but rarely see the roots beneath it, the tears, prayers, and sacrifices of those who built it. Every thriving church once began as a small gathering, a vision in someone’s heart, or even a burden carried in prayer. Behind every pastor or deacon stands a story of struggle, faith, and perseverance.

Likewise, a pastor’s wife naturally becomes a model of faith, strength, and service within her church community. Her quiet sacrifices, prayers, and steadfast support are often unseen yet deeply felt. As Scripture reminds us in Joshua 24:15, “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

A Life-Changing Testimony

During her early years of serving God, she faced many struggles and hardships. One of the greatest battles she fought was against a serious illness—tuberculosis (TB). One day, she began to feel severe pain in her abdomen and was rushed to the hospital. The doctors suspected appendicitis and prepared her for surgery. However, during the operation, the signs of stomach TB appeared. Her condition was so severe that even her veins were damaged, and she was left weak and hopeless.

Because of her illness, doctors told her that she might never be able to conceive a child. She lost all hope of health, of marriage, and even of life itself. But at the point of death, she made a vow to God. She said, “Lord, if You give me my life back, I will dedicate my entire life to serving You.”

That day, God heard her cry. He miraculously healed her and restored her health. Not only did He give her a new life, but He also opened doors for her to serve Him on a great level. She had always dreamed of marrying a pastor, and she held onto the promise in Matthew 6:33: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

At the time of her engagement, her fiancé was not a pastor but an evangelist in the church. However, soon after their engagement, God called him into full-time ministry. Today, God has made him a pastor and the head of his own church.

God not only saved her life and restored her health, but He also fulfilled the desires of her heart. Now, she is a proud wife and a joyful mother of two sons. Her life is a living testimony that when we put God first, He can turn our pain into purpose and our trials into triumphs.
