Vision and Legacy
Pastor Nadeem Barkat is the Founder and Head Pastor of Narrow Gate Ministries, located in Bahar Colony, Kot Lakhpat, Lahore. A humble and passionate servant of God, Pastor Nadeem has dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel and building the Kingdom of God with faith, perseverance, and love.
Early Life and Calling
Born in Sialkot, Pakistan, into a simple Christian family, Pastor Nadeem was raised with strong moral and spiritual values. His father was a businessman who owned a large (warehouse) for his work. One day, as a young boy, Pastor Nadeem visited his father’s business place and was deeply inspired. Looking at the vast space, he imagined a church being built there for the glory of God. That moment planted a divine desire in his heart, a vision to build a house of worship where people could gather to praise the Lord. Though he was young, that calling stayed with him for many years, quietly shaping his dreams and guiding his path.
The moment that change his life
Throughout his youth, Pastor Nadeem experienced many ups and downs. Like many young people searching for direction, he worked several different jobs, yet his heart remained restless, longing for something more meaningful. Then, one day, God revealed His purpose in a powerful way. In a vision, God spoke to him and gave him the verse Matthew 7:13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.” This divine encounter changed his life forever. Pastor Nadeem understood that God was calling him to lead people through the narrow gate, the way of truth and eternal life. From that moment, he fully dedicated his life to God and began preparing for ministry.
Spiritual Growth and Education
Following his calling, Pastor Nadeem moved to Karachi to pursue theological training at the Mischeal Shalmil Institute. There, he studied the Word of God deeply, learned pastoral care, and was equipped for the ministry. In 1999, he was baptized by Pastor William Christ, publicly declaring his faith in Jesus Christ and his lifelong commitment to serve Him. After completing his theological studies in 2008, he returned to Lahore with a renewed vision and passion for ministry.
Ministry Journey
With faith as his foundation, Pastor Nadeem began his ministry in 2008, starting humbly from rented houses together with his family. Despite challenges, he continued preaching, praying, and ministering to those in need. His home gatherings soon grew into a strong fellowship of believers. Out of this humble beginning, Narrow Gate Ministries was born, a ministry named after the very verse God gave him in his vision. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, Pastor Nadeem’s ministry has become a source of healing, restoration, and hope for many.
From Then to Now
Pastor Nadeem Barkat’s life is a testimony of faith, obedience, and perseverance. From a young boy with a dream in Sialkot to a pastor leading a thriving ministry in Lahore, his journey reflects God’s faithfulness. His vision is to guide believers to walk through the “narrow gate” that leads to life, strengthening their faith and deepening their relationship with Jesus Christ. Through his leadership, Narrow Gate Ministries continues to reach the lost, heal the broken, and glorify God.
